The Roundtable which is a collaboration between Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), is organized to provide a high level engagement platform for Federal and State Governments, private sector stakeholders, and development partners to discuss issues surrounding accelerated broadband infrastructure deployment, proffer solutions, investment opportunities, and strengthen the protection of Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII).Â
The objectives
Aligning stakeholders to achieve national broadband goals.
Encouraging private sector investment in underserved areas.
Strengthening collaboration across federal, state, and private sectors.
Enhancing infrastructure protection efforts under the Critical National Information Infrastructure Protection Plan (CNIIPP).
Developing actionable strategies for digital inclusion and infrastructure security.
Key Highlights:
Stakeholder Inclusion: Participants include Federal Ministries, Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), State Governments, Telecom Operators (ATCON, ALTON), Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Police Force and other development partners.
Investment Incentives: Advocacy for States to waive Right of Way (RoW) fees and align their regulations to attract private investment.
Panel Discussions: Dedicated sessions to address infrastructure challenges and foster investment commitments.
Deal Rooms: Facilitate one-on-one discussions between State representatives/ Investors and Licensees with the goal of reaching specific investment agreements most suitable for the respective State
