Olufemi Sunday Williams brings to bear on his job extensive Information Technology and Support Systems experience gained from working on a diverse and varied set of multifaceted technological projects. Williams has over 37 years’ experience covering Engineering, Payment Systems, Management, Strategy and Board level exposure. Based on exposure to global commercial practice, Williams has proffered bespoke Information Technology solutions to local and trans-border clients on complex transactional matters. Steered Corporate/Commercial Transactions, Regulatory and Compliance Issues, patent, trademark, copyright, database protection and corporate governance for several organizations.
He has worked consistently in Chams Plc from a Youth Corps member in 1989 to the position of Group Managing Director. In the process, he has served in all critical areas of the firm’s operations, among which are Mergers & Acquisition, Business Turnaround, Strategy formulation and Implementation, Product Development, Negotiation, High-Level Marketing and Mentoring. Williams was the National Project Director for the Bank Verification Number (BVN) project in Nigeria, a biometric-based identity management platform for all players in the financial sector of the economy. Chams PLC was transformed from a loss-making position to profit-making position and even paid divided within 3 years of his leadership as the Group Managing Director.
He is also currently the Chief Enabling Officer for Newwaves Ecosystem Ltd, which developed the first made-in-Nigeria online meetings, conferencing and webinar platform – KONN3CT.COM
